NEPTUNE STATION RETROGRADE AT 23 12 PISCES 3:21 PM EDT
Moon remains in Capricorn, still Full, a luminous force with which to be reckoned. This is an inherently dissatisfied Moon energy that pushes us to a culmination of aspiration, and inspires us to get even higher goals. As long as our needs under Cancer Sun are acknowledged, we have the balance to pursue them with the relentless ambition and drive that only Capricorn can sustain. It’s time to set emotion aside and operate upon the rational while we sort out our feelings instead of being caught up in them. Moon will trine Uranus in Taurus at 7:04 AM EDT, which can make things a bit unstable, but these grounded Earth signs help us to find stability in spite of circumstances. Moon will make a sextile to Neptune in Pisces, which turns Retrograde today, at 10:51 PM EDT, which will enhance our intuition and color our dreams with a deeper meaning. Capricorn Moon intuition can hit like a punch in the gut, so pay attention to the feelings within your body as they manifest. This is an Earth Moon, tied to the body and the material. We need to be able to PROVE IT under this Full Moon, relying on feelings is nowhere near enough. Another full day of Capricorn Moon will follow tomorrow, so this strong and persistent feeling energy is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Neptune is slowly grinding to a halt, the proverbial standstill of perception as it Stations Retrograde today at 3:21 PM EDT. Neptune is in it’s home sign of Pisces for a long transit, deepening our psychic connections and empowering our hopes and dreams. Neptune is the realm of the deep subconscious, we are able to go under the surface with less resistance now, and the focus is upon healing and spiritual growth. This Retrograde begins at 23 degrees and 12 minutes, and over the course of the next 5 months, Neptune will slowly walk back to 20 degrees and 24 minutes, where it will Station Direct on December 1 2021. I must repeat once again here that outer planet Retrogrades are not the shock and awe of inner planet Retrogrades, this time is to reflect and contemplate the spiritual lessons inherent within our journey. As Neptune walks back over this ground it’s already covered, and engages in planetary aspects along the way, we find opportunities to take what we’ve learned and do things differently this time. The Stationary points at each end and the conjunction to Sun in the center of the Retro are the strongest Retrograde energies that we encounter, and typically the times we feel it’s backward pull most deeply. Neptune in Retrograde can inspire us to ruminate over the past and work to heal old issues through them rising from the subconscious into the light of day…but we must be cautioned against delusion during this time. Neptune has a way of seeing only the beauty around us and inspiring soul level compassion, and sometimes that leads us to overlook or seek to actually escape the darker and less comfortable things we must face. Not all lessons are pleasant, and this Retrograde will call to the surface any that we’ve tried to avoid. This Retrograde Station is a wonderful time to be honest with ourselves about those things, and to remember to seek reality through the haze. We may feel foggy for a day or two around this Station, as Neptune changes direction and the world of dreams, our inner world, seeks to submerge us.
