Moon is now in Taurus, and is still quite close to Full, and it’s time to try to rest and recover from the intensity we have been under the past couple of days. Anxiety is running high, and we need to ground this heightened energy. Moon made an early square to Saturn in Aquarius at 5:45 AM EDT, and this call back down to reality will persist through morning. Stubborn Taurus Moon isn’t inclined to do anything out of the ordinary, but Saturn in Aquarius wants us to shake things up and think outside the box. Moon will make a conjunction to Uranus in Taurus at 6:28 PM EDT, another agent of change that we may feel resistant to. Uranus may cause unexpected obstacles and challenges in it’s effort to inspire change, but again, the Taurus energy makes it difficult to navigate changes. Try to stay flexible rather than rigid today.
One of the reasons this Full Moon has been so incredibly powerful is that Mars was conjunct the Sun end of the Full Moon, the planet of war, aggression, and instinctual drive. Mars adds a layer of imperative action to what we’re feeling lately, and today Mars is moving into it’s square to Pluto in Capricorn, which will be exact just after midnight tonight. This square is a tension between our relationship direction (Libra) and the structures we rely upon to achieve (Capricorn). Mars is demanding that we shift the balance in relationships if our needs are not being met, and Pluto is willing to tear everything down to take control. Mars in Libra is not an aggressive Mars, it waits to move until it has weighed the balance and moves with caution, but Pluto in Capricorn is powerfully dominant, and will cast an exceedingly critical focus upon whatever isn’t perfect right now. This aspect would be powerful enough on it’s own, but just to complicate things with more discord and disruption, Mars is also opposite Eris in Aries today, which makes this configuration a t-square. This was the power trigger of the Full Moon yesterday, but today, Mars is in exact aspect to both of these overwhelming agents of change, heightening the drama and amplifying the volatility. Eris is justified feminine rage, and it’s expressed through machination and manipulation. Eris doesn’t just step in and blow things up, Eris calculates and then spins chaos, and it’s often in response to oppression or dynamics of control. Pluto is control, especially in Capricorn, and Eris may trigger typically passive aggressive Libra Mars to get uncharacteristically nasty and aggressive today. Volatile people may escalate seemingly unprovoked under this perfect storm of control and rebellion, so step lightly around them. Everyone’s patience is worn thin today, and it will not take much for things to spiral. Mars in Libra typically wants peace at all costs, but today, peace must be disrupted (Eris) and the attempt of control is futile (Pluto).
