We begin the day under Leo Moon, and it’s made all of the aspects it’s going to, so we are left with a sense of anticipatory uncertainty given the major planetary aspects we have today. Moon will move into Virgo at 2:09 PM EDT, where we become more analytical and emotional expression becomes highly verbalized and direct. Thankfully, Virgo Moon plays well with Scorpio Sun, since we are under enough tension already today. Moon will sextile Mars just after Mars joins Sun in this secretive and crafty sign, making this afternoon ideal for planning, plotting, and seeing through the machinations of others while we calculate our own schemes and maneuvers.
Scorpio Sun is now square Saturn in Aquarius, and this can create disruption and obstacles regarding authority figures, and limitations based on any lack of past effort or procrastination. Responsibility may hit where it hurts right now, reminding us that we cannot escape the demands of the mundane. This can also restrict the flow of resources from outside sources, so when it comes to other people’s money, tread lightly today. These Fixed energies are difficult when they square, and we are only getting started…we will soon see Mars make it’s square from Scorpio to Saturn in Aquarius on the 10th, which will be a far more explosive expression of similar energy. Sun here is forcing transformation and calling up all of our demons, and Scorpio is a highly instinctual energy, while Saturn wants to see us use our heads in Aquarius, and detach from all of the intensity we are feeling. This square is a powerful emotional reality check, which may push a breakthrough as we refuse to submit to obstacles.
Venus in Sagittarius trines Eris early in the day today, adding relationship tension to the mix. Things can spiral quickly and get heated today, so remember that impulsivity here can lead to rebellion. Anything that limits our freedom today will be a provocation for blow ups, and fires can burn out of control, both figurative and literal flames.
Mars will move into Scorpio today at 10:21 AM EDT, and this is one of the driving forces of change and transformation that will shape us in November. This Mars takes no shit, and is hell bent upon taking control. We have grown complacent under Mars in Libra, and now Scorpio Mars comes to burn everything down and force us to acknowledge the darkness inherent within. This is a powerfully forward moving energy, but it’s calculating, and discerning. This is not a take the world by storm energy, it’s a master plan of domination energy. Everything is a psychological game to Mars in Scorpio, we discern our best maneuver and move toward it, slither stealthily and lie in wait, until the moment is perfect. Scorpio always brings about those things that transform us, a metaphorical death and rebirth…and yes, this Mars can entail loss and a purging of things that aren’t serving us. Mars will make an exact opposition to Uranus in Taurus just 2 days before the Full Moon in Taurus which is also an Eclipse, shocking us out of the deep, still water under which we are submerged. Mars in Scorpio’s instinctual drive can be powerful, even disconcertingly so. This is simply time to remember that not everything is love and light, and in order to understand those lofty ideals, we must also honor and acknowledge the polarity. It’s time to shed all that we’ve outgrown, and to prepare for rebirth. Transformation is always powerful, and it isn’t always pleasant. When issues of power and control arise, remember to allow Mars to lead us down a path that follows instinct, and move with intuition.
