Lunar Yod to Pisces Sun and Pluto in Capricorn
Moon remains in lovely Leo today, with a flair for the dramatic and a need for admiration and recognition. Moon is waxing toward Full on Thursday night/Friday morning; intensity is already building ahead of this lunation, as the Virgo Full Moon is going to be incredibly powerful. A playful and creative approach yields the best results under today’s Leo Moon, with room to explore, and to push creative boundaries. Our focus is upon asserting feelings, with Leo boldness and confidence. This vehemence may be mistaken for aggression under a morning opposition to Saturn in Aquarius at 6:56 AM EDT, so be cautious until this influence fades an hour or so later. Whether we are roaring or purring today, there will be no hiding what’s in our hearts.
We will be under the driving force of a Lunar Yod today as Moon engages in quincunxes to both Neptune and Sun in Pisces today followed by a quincunx to Pluto in Capricorn, and these aspects are just tight enough to make this into a lunar Yod configuration, also known as the Finger of God. A Yod entails one planet or luminary that quincunxes two (or more, if conjunctions are present) planets which are sextile to one another, forming a triangle with the sextile as the base and the quincunxes as the apex point. Yods in transit can trigger powerful change and can feel like they are charged with a mission, particularly if the apex touches any of your natal planets, and then the influence depends upon what planet you have involved. Today’s Lunar Yod is technically between Moon, Pisces Sun, and Pluto in Capricorn, but Neptune is still conjunct Sun, so Neptune’s dreamy and intuitive influence makes this process a bit more ethereal and elusive…the process may be rather subconscious. This tense aspect pattern may make emotional expression more difficult, with everyone taking feelings of others quite personally. Remember that this powerful depth of Pisces feeling does entail others, and give them empathy rather than the reaction of how their feelings affect you. Pisces reminds Leo energy that not everything is about you, other people get to feel, too. The Pisces side of this Yod is a reminder that we must overcome the ego traps of Leo vanity if we are going to harness the spiritual potential that Pisces bestows upon us. The Capricorn side of this Yod adds a sense of rules and rigidity and complexity, and it has the potential to dredge up the past. Pluto is here to remind us yet again of the need to let go of patterns that are inherently destructive to us, and that structure is required to move forward. This Yod can bring an emotional restructuring, and reframing of perspective may be required. The timing of this Yod will feel strongest from 4:00 PM EDT through 10:00 PM EDT, and it’s an excellent time to contemplate recent progress as well as to delve into recent changes without rationalization or excuses. Pluto demands accountability here, and this Yod can be quite powerful. It’s time to purge, and to allow intuition to guide us with Pisces faith in something greater.
