Taurus Moon, 1st quarter
Moon is now in solid, steady Taurus, and we are able to slow down and proceed with care and caution. This is a fantastic time to take space where we can create comfort, and seek security. Taurus needs a stable base from which to move, and sticks to the rules and guidelines. Today may be a wise time to redefine rules and guidelines after we’ve been through so much havoc for the first part of this year under two inner planet Retrograde periods. Taurus is a Fixed sign, heavily intent upon getting exactly where we need to be, and will only do so by doing it RIGHT. Physical comfort is incredibly important today, so take time to stretch, indulge the senses, and ensure that your bodily needs are met first. Moon will make a lovely sextile to Jupiter in Pisces at 10:58 AM EST, and this spiritual heightening of emotion can take us into a deeply creative place, we aren’t at all inclined to rush or to be rushed under this energy, we need calm and peace today rather than haste and worry. We want to get things done, but under our own terms. Moon will make a trine to Mars in Capricorn at 2:12 PM EST, and this is where things begin to pick up and get moving, as motivation increases and we have Capricorn follow through. Moon will make a conjunction to Uranus in Taurus at 3:22 PM EST, so expect the unexpected, as Uranus can always bring disruptions or surprising revelations. This is a rebellious energy, but under the sign of Taurus, that rebellion may take the form of returning to old ways, sustainable and slow, plodding methods. Go old school today. Moon will then trine Venus in Capricorn at 7:00 PM EST, and relationships get a taste of steady grounding from this influence, which is most welcome after the tumultuous Venus Retrograde from which we are still recovering. The nurturing and care of Taurus Moon can feel quite soothing today, a much needed sense of relief.
Mars in Capricorn is domineering and decisive, and it’s moving into a trine to Uranus in Taurus tomorrow. This aspect begins to affect us today, and it’s a road opening aspect. Uranus can cause disruption, this is always true…but if it does, we can know that the disruption is necessary to divert us to a better place. Uranus in this trine may make things feel like they begin to speed up a little bit tomorrow, and we may recognize progress we hadn’t previously considered. Mars in Capricorn is typically resistant to change, and it’s even MORE resistant to advice…it knows everything, why would it need direction? Uranus doesn’t give the option of listening, here, Uranus ACTS, causes change, and Mars in Capricorn must respond with adjustment. Coming from Taurus, Uranus still has a high level of regard for the rules, so Mars in Capricorn isn’t too outraged nor will it be extremely frustrating. We will be able to see that if the course changes, it’s toward a better method, or a better path. This is a time to stay open to opportunity, and if something appealing suddenly arises, it’s definitely worth exploration and consideration. It’s important to remember that Taurus is the opposing end of the Scorpio axis, and we now have the North and South Node aligned in this polarity of security and loss, stability and transformation.
