Moon enters Capricorn 8:03 PM EST
We spend most of the day under an optimistic and upbeat Sagittarius Moon. Whatever we feel, we feel it outwardly, and this can cause blunt bursts of expression. Moon sextiles Jupiter in Aquarius at 8:44 AM EST, where we have a need for emotional and intellectual freedom. This aspect can spark bright ideas, but they are fleeting, and if we want to make them real, we must jump on them. Moon doesn’t have any further aspects in Sagittarius, and will enter Capricorn at 8:03 PM EST. Capricorn Moon under Scorpio Sun can bring tension to resolve where power struggles are concerned, but it comes with enough self-control to stay civil. Capricorn Moon and Scorpio Sun both may be seething underneath a poised and deceptive exterior, the intensity is undeniable, but both only reveal what’s truly at play if they so CHOOSE. Moon will make a conjunction to Venus just after midnight, and it’s a strong urge to get realistic about relationships, and to examine their foundations and limitations.
We are moving into an incredibly powerful Scorpionic deep dive this week, and it comes just as we’re already wading into the strange and uncertain Waters of Eclipse territory. Wednesday, we will see Mercury conjunct Mars in Scorpio, and both will square Saturn in Aquarius, all at 7 degrees. To make matters more disruptive, we cannot forget Uranus in Taurus, at 12 degrees, just lying in wait for Mercury and Mars to move into opposition. This is a wide t-square configuration. Mercury and Mars will be calculating and highly capable of manipulation and psychological games, and Saturn in Aquarius will be grinding on insistence that we do things the right way, and uphold principles. Though it may appear on first glimpse that Scorpio energy would be overpowering Saturn here, this Fixed tension occurs under Aquarius Moon. Both Mars AND Saturn are in their Traditional signs of rulership, equally dominant forces. Mercury comes along to be a devious little conspirator to Mars, whispering machinations in the background and deciding when to strike. This is a major power play square, and Uranus being involved even on the fringes makes it highly combustible and unpredictable. We begin to feel Mars and Mercury applying today, they are now 3 degrees apart, and intensity will build until things culminate on Wednesday, but then an opposition to Uranus will follow for Mercury next Saturday, and Mars not until Wednesday the 17th. So, tensions and power struggles that become intense this week may not see a final resolution until after the Mars/Uranus opposition on the 17th, two days before the Lunar Eclipse. This week definitely sets the stage for underlying themes of TAKE YOUR POWER BACK, with Scorpionic precision and perception. This saga of aspects may turn out to be quite revealing in the end.
