Aries Moon, 1st quarter
Moon remains in Aries today, where we are chomping at the bit, but are now running into squares to the Capricorn planets, triggering impatience and obstacles. Moon squared Mars overnight, creating limitation that is precipitated by expectations, and then made a conjunction to Chiron in Aries, hitting at wounds that affect self-esteem. Aries Moon squared Venus in Capricorn at 7:56 AM EST, emphasizing relationship issues, this may dredge up interpersonal issues that were faced during the recent Venus Retrograde, as we are still under the reach of it’s shadow period until the beginning of March. This Moon/Venus square may feel pretty demanding in the morning, so remember that trying to force issues does not work here. Moon will make a sextile to Saturn in Aquarius at 3:22 PM EST and we’re content for a bit to go our own way, and focus upon our own new ideas. Intellectual distraction is calling and we are happy to accept the invitation today! Moon will then sextile Aquarius Sun shortly thereafter at 5:17 PM EST, remember, Sun and Saturn are still running pretty close to conjunct, their yearly meet-up was exact yesterday, so we still have opportunity today in this window as Moon sextiles both to see the bigger pattern at work, Aries Moon can take bold and decisive action based upon the high powered perception and analytical powers of Aquarius Sun and Saturn. Today will be emotionally intense, and may feel like we can’t catch up no matter how much we push forward.
Mars in Capricorn is moving into a nasty square to Chiron in Aries that will be exact tomorrow morning. Mars in Capricorn is said to be in it’s exaltation in that sign, it is domineering and over confident, Mars in Capricorn always thinks it knows best, and is rigid in it’s expectations and decisions, lacking flexibility is it’s biggest difficulty. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, can be an incredibly tricky influence to consider in aspect, because it touches upon deeply personal levels, and is heavily dependent upon HOW it functions in your chart. Sign matters, house matters, aspects matter. When we think about Chiron in Aries, we must confront deep wounds that provoke issues of self-esteem, motivation and initiative, and are sometimes manifested through other strong Aries theme of war and violence. Mars is the ruling planet of Aries, so this particular square tomorrow may be quite nasty, and is building throughout today. Competitive drives may be overblown today and tomorrow, and people may be creating battles where there truly are none, all as a result of this Chiron square, with Mars in Capricorn and it’s demand for perfect execution of it’s plans. This isn’t an “I’m going to take my ball and go home if you don’t play my way” energy, it’s a “you don’t like my way? Ok, I just destroyed your ball, what are you going to DO about it?” energy. People prone to violence may be particularly easily provoked, so just avoid them if you can. Neither of these signs can call compromise a strong suit, and that will be reflected today. If anyone in your sphere is easily provoked, please remember that their provocation is on THEM, not YOU, since this square is highly likely to involve nasty levels of lashing out and blame.
