Leo Moon 4th quarter
Moon remains in Leo all day, where emotion roars loudly, and needs creative release. Moon will square Uranus in Taurus early on at 6:25 AM EDT, and it’s a good day to do things just a little bit differently. Change the routine slightly, and be open to new opportunities rather than try to control them. Moon will sextile Mercury in Libra at 6:32 PM EDT, a lovely and creative spark that allows us to connect in relationships with playful, flirtatious fun. We’ve needed this. Moon will make a quincunx to Neptune in Pisces at 8:53 PM EDT, a tense balance between creative genius and the madness that always drives creative endeavors, so channel your emotions into healthy expression. Moon will oppose Jupiter in Aquarius just after midnight, an electric jolt that may leave us restless and mentally stimulated overnight. Dreams may be powerful if you are sensitive to that Neptune quincunx, so pay attention.
Today is the final day of Mars in Libra, and what a transit it has been! Mars in Libra has felt like a waiting game, begetting indecision and careful control of otherwise deep compulsion. There is a powerful restraint inherent in this energy, when the planet of action and drive takes a step back to carefully consider things before moving forward. Today, at the critical 29th degree, we may be regretting steps not taken or roads not traversed. This is an opportunity to reflect upon the past month and a half, where Mars spent time here in the sign of relationship, and to examine where we’ve sought compromise and collaboration…and where we’ve asserted boundaries and decided that preventing conflict is important. Mars in Libra saw us fighting for relationships, and fighting for balance and harmony, an active process that entails constantly shifting and adjusting what we’re putting forth in order to influence those around us in ways that benefit us. Now that Mars in Libra reaches this critical degree, we ask is the balancing act all worth it? Are we getting the reciprocity from others that Libra Mars requires? The answer may be yes, or it may be no, but what is important is how we take that energy forward into Mars in Scorpio, because we are about to plunge to depths where shallow no longer will suffice, and it’s time to let go. All of the conflict we’ve sought to avoid, all of the control issues we’ve repressed under Mars in peace seeking Libra will now be tested when Mars slithers into the dark recesses of the Scorpion’s cave, where we must confront our demons and acknowledge that which we’ve hidden. We can fear our scars, or we can revel in them and take control. It is wise to take a few moments to contemplate this transformation today, before tomorrow arrives. Tomorrow’s Mars ingress also comes at the behest of Scorpio Sun square Saturn in Aquarius, all still under Leo Moon, making for an intense day of Fixed energies standing their ground. Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio, from the time before when Pluto was discovered and assimilated into our consciousness of cosmic machination, so know that Mars in Scorpio is powerful at home in this dark and calculating sign.
