Gemini Moon, 2nd quarter
Moon remains mentally frolicking through Gemini, where directions are spinning and expression of feelings is a must, though they are a rollercoaster of fleeting focus, unpredictable and ever fluctuating. Heightened mental activity will be underlying today, and this can make for anxiety and overstimulation if we aren’t flowing with the changes that will inevitably arise. Moon will make a quincunx aspect to both Venus and Mars in Capricorn today, Venus and Mars are running close enough now to be considered conjunct, and they will be tight together for quite awhile. The Mars aspect will occur at 6:36 AM EST, and the Venus aspect at 9:35 AM EST. Venus and Mars together are the big love formula, the heat and passion of Mars with the love and need of Venus can inspire us in a relationship context…but remember, these two are currently in rigid Capricorn, so Gemini Moon in a frenzy of quincunx here may require a bit of tricky navigation, as Moon is all about fast paced FUN, and Capricorn energy is very much focused on work and long term plans. Don’t forget, Venus can also entail financial focus, so resources may see a sudden jolt and we’re talking Gemini, so this could be construed as GOOD or as BAD depending upon which way things strike. It’s Gemini, who knows what will happen?! Quincunx is a tough aspect, it’s a push/pull rather than the extremes of an opposition, or the tense obstacles of a square. Quincunx gives us an equation that doesn’t make sense, and requires us to puzzle our way through it. The best approach to relationship issues today involves Gemini Moon flexibility, but flexibility is not something that Capricorn likes to think about when there are PLANS in action. Whatever arises, the answer lies in Gemini adaptability, and we may even need to pull trickery and creative logic out of the Gemini bag of tricks this morning. And that’s ok, we will rationalize it all. Moon will trine Saturn in Aquarius at 3:20 PM EST, a grounding aspect where Aquarius Saturn makes Gemini slow down long enough to think things through, and these two with their lightning speed cerebral superpower devise creative solutions and figure out something that works for the higher good, thanks to Saturn. Moon will square Neptune in Pisces after Midnight, so dreams may be uncomfortable, but entail necessary messages…sleep may feel disrupted by anxiety and mental activity.
Tomorrow, we reach a final resolution between Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn in a conjunction, a culmination of issues that arose as these two have been engaged twice before, once in Direct Motion on December 30 to begin this dance, then they conjoined during Mercury Retrograde on January 28, and now they have their final say on the matter. Mercury is the planet of communication and thought processes, and Pluto is deep, dark, transformation on a soul level. This conjunction may be an exceedingly enlightening end to difficult lessons of loss, and threats to our security. Capricorn energy is obsessed with building security, and gets lost in the building with very little enjoyment or appreciation. Mercury here is forced to reconcile letting go of things built that were not according to what truly matters. Pluto has a way of clearing out dead weight that holds us back, and as I said in these earlier conjunctions, that can mean people, things, situations, or even attitudes and expectations that require adjustment. The previous conjunctions were about provoking realization, and this one now comes with final resolution. It is simply time to let go of what was in the past, and build toward a future that embraces your core values, which have been conveniently assessed and realigned thanks to Venus Retrograde in Capricorn, that happened to Station Retrograde quite close to Pluto, applying to a conjunction there as well. Pluto in Capricorn tears down that which would crumble under the weight of its own rigidity and need for control, things that are inevitably going to blow up . Power struggles may be triggered under tomorrow’s conjunction, and difficult people will be particularly difficult. Money may be a big source of contention, especially for people with a materialistic streak. Remember, Pluto transformation is never an easy process, but if it’s an ACTIVE one, where we are thinking about these things and seeing the patterns at work, we can harness it to flow with it rather than struggling against it. Pluto will trigger all of our deeper security issues in this conjunction, and Mercury wants to express them and seek a way to resolve them.
