Moon will enter hard working, industrious Capricorn at 9:05 AM EDT, and Full Moon is upon us! It’s time to focus upon the PLAN under Capricorn energy, and to complete the axis of Sun on the other side in Cancer, this Full Moon is all about making sure that the plans and goals we have are conducive to our actual NEEDS in Cancer. Cancer Sun drives us to feel secure, and it can take emotional and highly erratic behavior to get there. We do all of our pent up emotional processing under Cancer energy, and Capricorn Moon seeks to take all of that and make it, somehow, productive for us. Full Moons are always a culmination, the ultimate expression of the sign that they are in. The Cancer/Capricorn axis can bring up issues surrounding the balance between home and work, or home and aspirational goals. If things are out of balance, it’s time to make decisions that take both sides into account in equal regard, to restore the balance. Cancer Sun is the nurturing, unconditional love of the Mother, and Capricorn Moon is the hardworking energy of the father…they need one another here, Cancer softens Capricorn’s critical edge and Capricorn can keep overwhelming Cancerian emotion in realistic context when these two energies work in harmony to complete the axis. We have been through quite the tumultuous series of planetary influences recently…we need these Cosmic Mother and Father energies to guide and nurture us back to a sense of stability. This can be a stabilizing and motivating Full Moon, if we harness these energies, and honor them.
Moon will sextile Jupiter Retrograde at 2 degrees Pisces 12:33 PM EDT, just 2 hours before the actual time of Full Moon, so this sextile plays heavily into the energy we will encounter at the exact moment of Sun/Moon opposition. This sextile from Jupiter in Pisces adds a serenity to this Full Moon, we seek understanding and healing. This is a highly spiritual Jupiter, and it’s still trine to the Sun on the other end of this opposition, making this Full Moon powerfully psychic. This is an excellent opportunity to dive into your intuition and explore what’s in your subconscious. Healing is always the ultimate goal of Pisces, and Jupiter deepens and magnifies that which it encounters. We are able to understand the big picture of underlying circumstances thanks to Jupiter sextile Moon and trine Sun, if we take the opportunity it presents and dive into the subconscious.
Neptune, modern ruler of Pisces and planet of dreams, intuition, and spirituality, is creeping now, slowing down to Station Retrograde tomorrow afternoon. This is another outer planet Retrograde, it isn’t going to hit us hard like an inner planet Retro does, but it WILL dredge up lessons we’ve encountered over the past few degrees of Pisces. Neptune is currently at 23 degrees, and will walk back to 20 degrees where it will Station Direct at the end of November. This is the time where our hopes and wishes may realign, and we are open to seeing how we may do things differently, from a spiritual standpoint. Neptune can make things hazy as it strengthens intuition and inspires us in symbols and art, it’s omens are subtle and fleeting. They can, however, inspire deep insight toward our path of healing if we are paying attention to them. Neptune Station tomorrow is giving this Full Moon period a deep dive, and taking it in a direction of spiritual realignment…we just need to be receptive.
