ARIES FULL MOON 27 degrees, 10:57 AM EDT
The culmination of this Full Moon is a powerful driving force forward…it comes as we have had 4 planets Station Direct, and it calls for relentless pursuit of our passions regardless of obstacles or barriers. This is not an energy to be wasted, it’s an opportunity to drive change, as long as we have done the work entailed by acknowledging where our own needs may be in conflict with the needs of others. This Full Moon is conjunct Mars in Libra on the Sun end, and Moon is conjunct Eris, planet of discord, on the other end. Mars and Eris are action based…in Libra, Mars may be indecisive, but opposed Eris, indecision is not allowed, and chaos will prevail as it forces our hand. Mars pushes with manipulation here, while Eris accuses and provokes. Sun and Moon are illuminating the power of this opposition and making it the driving force behind what happens over the next two weeks. Both ends of this tense opposition also square Pluto in Capricorn, which is still sitting at the degree of Station, demanding that we reconcile where we’ve gone wrong, and inciting issues of control and power struggles. This nasty t-square is a major trigger for breakdowns and sudden, impulsive behavior. The greater lesson here, as in all t-squares, is at the release point which is Pluto in Capricorn…the structure underlying us has to be rocked in order to get us on the right path. Moon will be full at exactly 10:57 AM EDT, and we have just a few hours with Moon remaining in Aries until Moon ingresses to Taurus at 3:59 PM EDT, shifting the dynamic considerably. When Moon moves from Aries to Taurus, energy slows down and becomes deliberate and focused as opposed to the reactionary inferno that it will be under this Aries Full Moon. Be careful around people who are easily provoked, and while operating machinery or playing with Fire.
This Full Moon also has the potential to bring up old wounds and trauma, thanks to Mercury and Chiron being in an opposition as well. Mercury is still barely creeping, so we haven’t shaken off the shock of Station. The opposition isn’t exact right now, but it’s close enough that if you have planets or angles affected directly by these two, then it’s time for soul level healing…and that comes from traumatic, buried feelings being triggered. We are about to delve into the Underworld of Scorpio at the end of the week, so consider this preparation for encountering that which we would rather hide.
This Full Moon will feel like it’s burning grasp is continual, persisting past where we think it should end, thanks to the underlying Mars/Pluto square that is coming together. The aspect will be exact on Friday, so all the way through the weekend we have the tension of this square to try to resolve. Libra Mars may spend too much time weighing the balance and not acting, and Pluto demands that we do something about it. These are Cardinal energies we are under, which are a fast rush of energy to work with. We have Libra Mars, Cardinal Air, employing mental finesse and Pluto in Capricorn, Cardinal Earth, having it’s way at all costs and removing anything that stands in its way. Eris, as mentioned above, is still square Pluto but is separating now. We have endured 5 squares between these two entangled in an ongoing battle since 2020, and though it will be fading, here is Eris sitting at 24 degrees, still tightly square until Pluto moves forward. Frustrations are necessary…sometimes the solution is to become intolerant and burn away whatever is no longer working.
